I heard it on a couple of television shows. I did. The screen writers put in "I" where a "me" should go. With one of the shows, it could be attributed to the character being that way but the other character would never have made that grammar mistake! Am I the grammar police now? Well, not really. I'm not out to get anyone. It's just, well, people might as well know when to use "I" or "me" in a sentence. I mean, really, do you get to the beach and call a seagull a hawk? No, because you learned the difference, not a big deal. Do you ask for a hamburger and expect a bacon cheeseburger? No, because you know what to say to order the right thing. Using "me" and "I" correctly just isn't that hard to figure out. There's no "mastering" it. You don't have to be an expert. It's simple. Just take a glance at my other post that tells how. (And more than likely, I've made other grammar mistakes within this blog post and someone is wondering why on earth I don't know some other rule I've broken. *sigh* )
